Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, admin's if it isn't please move it!

Took and finally got my self a Pentium Pro 1MB SL25A off of eBay. Well when I opened it, I was very surprised to see that it had 6 missing pins. I was very upset as I was hoping to get this thing running one day. I double checked the ad and no where in it, did it say it would have missing pins, bent yes, missing no. Item #250905808304 if you want to check the description. I guess this is just one of those, ask for pics of the pins before buying things.

The description is funny: "This CPU will have some bent pins." As if it doesn't have bent pins, but the seller will ensure there will be some when the processor gets to you Smile

He didn't mention missing pins, but at the same time he listed part as non working. Buying parts like this is always a gamble. Even if the pins are all there, the chip could be dead.

I won a socket 4 Pentium 66 on ebay recently. It was listed as an SX837, but is actually an SX950. It's in terrible condition with a bunch of bent pins and writing/stickers all over it. I was pretty dissapointed when I opened the box. Sometimes it happens. Sad
