Does it have an FCC ID on the back of the board? An FCC number is sometimes the easiest way to get info about a board and/or who made it.

BIOS HIGH and BIOS LOW are the two EPROMs.

cedrik, it's the rest of the letters/numbers that might identify t he make/model of the board from it's onboard BIOS.

unfortunately there are few numbers/markings on the board...

on the BIOS:

AMI VGA BIOS (HIGH / LOW)
Copyright 1987
All rights reserved
Video tehnology info tech LTD

on the chip with the white label , after L286_3 CIJC there is an SN: 1002919

If you have or can get a motherboard to test it in that's the easiest way to get some details. If you're going to collect cards, then having one or more boards to test with might make it easier. The boards should be quite cheap these days.

I have a system with Slot1 Mobo with a small hdd (15 gb) , 256 SD Ram ... i use it to test ISA boards.. and i have a SocketA system with Athlon 1200/256 ram/20Gb to test PCI / AGP cards.. (these 2 systems are for testing purposes only) ...

I put this video card in the Slot 1 System.. but unforutnately WindowsXP couldnt identify it ... Should i install Win98 or 95 ?

If you watch before the motherboard BIOS takes control, most graphics cards will display a few lines of identifying information. You have to be quick though, it'll only be on screen for about a second (maybe a little longer on older systems).

You might try using debug or some such utility to have a look at the BIOS, there may be ASCII strings that could identify your chip.
