Hi I am in need of some expertise as I am not a computer tecno,I would like to upgrade my processor but cannot find info on what i can fit to my motherboard,My main task is video edditing on an amature basis,I have listed computer spec below if this helps, obviously I would like to know the maximum speed and type processor i can fit.
Have tried hard to find info from Asus and maxdata but to no avail. Thanks Makymark.
Ps would a dedicated graphics card also be an advantage for hd video edditing.

info I can find so far with the manual initially saying

CPU LGA775 socket for IntelŪ PentiumŪ D/PentiumŪ 4/Celeron CPU compatible with IntelŪ 06B/05A/04A processors
Supports IntelŪ EM64T/Hyper-Threading Technology
Front side bus 1066/800/533 MHz

then
This motherboard comes with a 775-pin surface mount Land Grid Array (LGA) socket designed for the IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 processor in the 775-land package. Supporting the IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 processor with 1066 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB), this motherboard is equipped with IntelŪ Hyper-Threading Technology and is fully compatible with the IntelŪ 06B/05A/04A processors.

may help someone work out what you can use.

EDIT.. will accept up to 65nm 775 CPUs

closest retail boards I can find to match your board

The fastest 0.065nm Pentium D is D970 at 3.80 GHz
The fastest 0.065nm Core 2 Duo is E6850 at 3.00 GHz

Go to http://www.cpu-world.com/cgi-bin/CPU_Chart.pl and select "Technology (micron)", giving it a value of 0.065. For "socket" select socket 775, and for "Cores" select 2. Then click "Show Data", and you will have all the fastest Pentium D and Core 2 Duo that fit those specs.

I only found the same info as Neon_WA when I looked, so it might not be easy to determine for sure whether you can use everything on that list.
