Mobile cpu upgrade

i have a Toshiba A135-S7403 laptop with
*Intel Celeron M 530
*Code Name Conroe-L
*Socket 479 mPGA
*533 Mhz FSB
Mainboard is
*Toshiba IAKAA
*Chipset i943/940GML

It came with Vista now has 32 bit Win7 with 2GB of ram.
Is there an upgrade available for the CPU?
With the website stating max ram is 2048, will adding more ram hurt the laptop even if i upgrade to 64 bit OS?

You can use max 2 GB DDR2 and no more in that laptop. Cpu is propably upgradable to Core 2 Duo T7200/T7400/T7600

I agree with Marcin, but you may want to stick with a 32-bit processor.

I've also seen these systems not even POST with too much RAM in them!!! 2GB is certainly the limit, and I think 1DIMM of 2GB will work, just no more than than
