386 EX? no

Intel B80386SL-20 ES

I found this picture from a Taiwanese computer magazine.
Have anyone seen this before?

I had unindentified SL CPU in my Intel promotion kit:



This SL chip is in BGA package:



Now I'm pretty much sure that's B80386SL. Thanks Peter!

OrBit always has something very special......

It looks not like a standard 386 Pin out, I can't find any useful information about it. icon_confused2

are lga chips common in old laptops?

mabye find some 'slim' 386 laptops.. seems theyd be most likely to use something like this?

I found LCC CPUs in 286 laptops, but the 386s typically were QFP.

Your 386sl's pins isn't like 386-cpus of personal computer, maybe it is use in other machine.

My point It's an industrial class CPU just likes the martial spec.
