I have 4 2" wafers, one blank, one with tiny structures, and two with larger visible structures. I also have one 6" wafer, with two very small chips. I think you can order silicon wafers new. I used to use them as sample substrates in grad school. Some spammers still email me with wafer deals once in a while.
These wafers come with a drum type containers with slots to slide them in, like an old-fashion floppy or CD container
I didn't know if they were of any collector values. I got them from a trade with a bunch of other CPUs |

I have a couple of wafers in my collection (with and without structures), and also an exposure mask for 1" USSR wafers.
I'll post some pictures later. |

I have a 4" Quartz chip wafer with dies from an old Motorola plant that closed in New Mexico. (I have spares of this if anyone is interested in a trade).
I also have a 6" silicon Wafer with Motorola chip dies that I got from my brother as a gift. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |
