|
|
| Hello, I recently add to my collection an Intel Pentium 4 1,7 GHz/256/400/1.75V SL5TK and I think that is remarked by solder mask in one capacitor in bottom. Anyone have seen this in an original CPU or definitelly is remarked or fake??? |

They don't look remarked. I think the chips on the bottom are decoupling capacitor arrays, and they are used to keep the noise down. Removing or adding them does not change processor frequency.

Yes, i Know this, but I never seen the solder mask without a capacitor in any cpu, and I think that a sSpec always have the same decoupling capacitor, so as the othet with same sSpec, or the cpu is remark in origen or a change lid fake with capacitor remove |

I have seen several SL5TJ SL5UJ and SL5TK that have solder but no capacitor mounted, just like your SL5TK.
At first, I also thought these were fakes, but they identify and work properly. The solder bumps all appear even (nearly identical), so I think they were placed by machine, not hand-soldered. |
