I purchased a small lot of BNC - RJ45 network adaptors in the US
so I can connect some of my older test machines to the network

anyone chasing one.. let me know as I can make a few available under $4

How did that work for you (using this for Ethernet)? It's used for E1/T1... Did you open it up and rewire it inside?

Thanks for that.. I forgot I needed to make some re-wiring inside

so will ship them all to me and make the necessary changes before making them available

Just an FYI, those adapters don't actually convert 10Base-2 to 10Base-T, they are just a balun to pass 10Base-2 through STP cable (e.g. a CAT3, 4, 5, or 6 wiring). It will not allow the 10Base-2 device to communicate on an network utilizing 10/100/1000Base-T

THIS oLD network stuff...AAhhh memories of the Omoaxonic Cable ....Looks More like Water Pipes than electronic cable Smile
