you might have a hard time selling the Intel catalog
seems people are slowing down buying them
I was surprised when I had no competition for a 1977 catalog and that is less common than the 1979 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Yeah, I know. Half the Intel catalogs sold on Ebay over the past 10 years came from my own collection. Still, the '79 catalog has the distinction of being the last to include the 4004 and the first to introduce the 8086, which makes it a little special on those two counts.
The sad thing is, documentation always gets short shrift, when it's (IMO) as essential to a complete collection as the chips themselves. *shrug*
Anyway, less than 24 hours to go...

I managed to pick up a 1979 a couple months ago at a good price
and yes.. some have been very handy as datasheets in them I have not been able to find on the web
best one was 1986 Microsystems Components with at least 6 datasheets not in other catologs, manuals or the web
I have 2 IC Masters (luckily I got them cheap) as the the reshipping from US to Oz cost me $115 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

I guess I tend to look at early IC catalogs (pre-1980, especially) as collector's objects in their own right, so the issue of whether you can find the info online is kind of irrelevant to me. Having a PDF of an Intel catalog is like having a photocopy of the Mona Lisa...
The thing to keep in mind about the IC Masters is that they were updated yearly to include all the latest product offerings, and a lot of stuff tends to get obsoleted quickly. In a 1982 edition, for instance, you'll find much less in the way of 1960s/'70s chips compared to the 1977 edition.
But yeah, they can be expensive buggers to ship overseas. Too bad we don't have surface mail here anymore.
