That may be the case in For sale threads, but has no bearing on For Trade threads
Typically the owner of the chips generally prefers to trade with who ever has the best to offer as trade
If no one has anything suitable, then they may decide to sell and ask for offers by PM
But when you get to these hard to find chips... they maybe worth more for trade than you will ever get by selling
like in my case.. I have started selling off my spare hard to find Pentium sSpecs as the only person with more than me is Smithy.. and he doesnt have any spare of the sSpecs I need
The few in collections I need... if they come available will only be by sale

Yes, I'm aware of that thanks, but not what I was talking about.
He said "let me know if you want to sell these, I pay top $$".
I said " Your 2nd in line bud ", as in I already have the offer out there too to pay cash, and have no problem paying "top dollar" for the right chips either, and the was just my way of saying you've got some friendly competition bud if it comes down to $$.
So what I said obviously came off wrong, but wasn't picking a fight, just making the owner aware that I have no problem spending "top dollar" on them either if I feel the price is justified.

Smithy mainly focus on the intel collection, and he has bulid quite nice collection including many rare chips
