Hi!
I got a Kingston TurboChip 233. This is a bundle of a Pentium 233MMX and a adapter socket, which do some voltage conversion.
I know this adapter is the same for each speed variant of the TurboChip. There are 8 DIP switches on the pcb. So these switches tune in the BF-settings and voltage. Does anyone know the meaning of these switches? OR does anyone have such an adapter beside the 233MHz version and could take a view for the switch-settings and can post it here?
Thanks! _________________ Frank. |

I have a Kingston 133 on a 486 socket somewherre on my shelf.
A description was there too.
I remember when I read it there was something mentioned with jumpers and clock speed - ???
Is that similar to yours and worth it search my shelf?

Hi Michael!
Thanks für your input, but I meant only Socket 7 models of Kingston TurboChip.
Here is a picture:
The question is: How do the switches code for voltage and BF0... BF2 ID. _________________ Frank. |

I tested this nice adapter socket a bit today. Know I know the BF-jumper settings Now it's possible to run a 500MHz CPU on it.
Now I have to get out the jumper settings for voltage _________________ Frank. |

Hey Frank. can you send info about BF jumpers ? I have two Kingston TC 233. I would like to play too _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Jepp, here it is:
Switch 1 = BF0
Switch 2 = BF1
Switch 3 = BF2
If the switches are low a high signal is generated. I have some V_Core information, too. The adapter only brings out voltage, if a CPU is installed I put a nice AMD K5-PR133 in it and soldered wires to pins of interest and switched a little bit... tehehe...
Sw4 and Sw8 = high = 2.2V core (important for running K6). The adapter seems to put out down to 1.5V. I will have to think about the logic behind this behaviour :-/ _________________ Frank. |
