|
|
I'm trying to find out what kind of chip I have, I pulled it from a spice series HP calculator circa 1979 model 37-E. It says AMI on one corner of the chip, then its says
7907VR 1820-2122-A Korea. I cant find anything about this chip, any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
Also trying to find a datasheet for the part |

Do you know where to get the datasheet for this chip.
I've been to both those hyperlinks before and could not find any info on where to get a datasheet. None of the main datasheet sites have anything I've tried about ten different datasheet places. Any answers possibly? Thanks for the reply. Major

Dont think I have ever seen a datasheet for a HP house Number IC
so if custom part.. any datasheet would be only a internal HP document
the best you could do it try and find an internal HP repair manual for the calculator.
These repair manuals normally give schematics, pinouts & some details of custom parts.
If on the off chance it is not a custom part.. then a datasheet for the stand part would suffice.
but as I said.. this house number is jumped in the few lookup lists I have and this means that they are normally a custom part _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

What exactly are you trying to do? I agree with Neon_WA that most likely there's no data sheet. |

only can see user manuals around.. best ask in vintage HP forum if any of the retired service agents have a copy
also.. the 1820-2122-A is listed for the 38E.. so maybe your 37E is a late model as it normally has a 1820-2122 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

strange the way the pins have been bent to solder onto the board rather than solder through _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

1818-0078 is listed as a CTC either AMI or Mostek MK6021P
If 1820-2122-A is not a custom processor.. most likely a 6800

Early models of this calculator didn't use soldered down chips, instead press fit was used.

Yes I know, I mean the 1MA4 0003 was the same like AMI 1820-2122
this is the picture of the whole box
if someone is interested to the Focus CPU, contact me shortly |
