CPU UPGRADE

My computer uses Intel Mobile core 2 Duo T7200 @2.00 GHZ, Package: Socket 479mPGA, Technology 65um , Family 6 Model F , stepping 6, core speed 1000.05 MHZ, Rated FSB 666.7 , I want to replace it with :

Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T7600 LF80537GF0534M (BX80537T7600) you can find its pecs. on the cpu-world website.
CAn any one advice if it will fit, as from the socket side I found that mine is Socket 479mPGA ,while the T7900 is Socket M ,Which is 478mPGA , are these the same ?

They both fit the same socket, and in my opinion the T7600 should work in your board. You won't get much of a performance boost, though. New chip will be up to 15% faster, in for many applications it will be less than 10% difference.

Not a really upgreade worth so much money.
