wasn't going to start this but got some time last night to start a database on C4040 markings

Went through and logged what I could find online

Of course there was quite a few that I didnt have access to a bottom pic

So anyone willing provide information to fill out the database, it would greatly appreciated Smile

A picture of the collected information so far is below
If you see info for the C4040 you have, still provide as the information may not be for yours
Either post or PM me

When the database gets a bit fuller I will post in a google doc.. minus chip ownership

No problem - in Hawaii, those Ninjas tend to mellow out surfing and drinking Mai Tais in Waikiki LOL

If anyone has both top & bottom pics on their website.. the data should be included.

Some that only have top pics, I have found additional pics on the forum from when they got the chip or if it was sold on the forum

I was a bit surprised that the earliest dated C4040 seen so far is in a grey/purple package Shocked

thanks mate Smile
yours is only 1 of 2 so far with gold pin 1 marker

I am surprised you use normal foam to store your chips

I know I wont get info for all C4040.. but it would be nice to get bottom markings on a P2358 code one Smile

Thanks mate Smile

Have updated the list with all I have for the moment
I have been careful to avoid listing the same chip twice (by checking other marks on chips)
so total known so far in white/grey C4040 is 40
