I am aware of the following core codes (and voltages) used on VIA C3s (in date release order
A300 (1.8V)
A320 (1.9, 2.0V)
AG20 (1.6, 2.0V)
AG40 (1.6, 1.65V)
AF40 (1.6V)
A350 (1.35V)
AG50 (1.6V)
AG44 (1.65V)
AG60 (1.4, 1.45V)
but haven't come across A220 (1.5V)
does anyone else have any info of any other parts with this code id?
by the date code it falls after A320 cores were in production, but at least 6 months before the AG20

also found another core code used on a 600A & 650A C3 from early 2003
A240 (1.6V)

worked out 2 things with the code core
the first 2 characters are plant or production-line code
A3
A2
AF
AG
next 2 characters are core family
00 >> Samuel
20 >> Samuel
40 >> Samuel2
44 >> still need to confirm but guessing mobile Samuel2
50 >> Ezra & Ezra-T
60 >> Nehemiah

this may help people work out what their C3s are
a CPUid of 6.7.10 is same as 6.7.A
where I have listed "dangerous core" is just a warning that some processors may have issues
I destroyed 2 mobos & 1 hard-drive trying to test these
most of these codes where tested using more than one example and I didn't find any that gave a different value to what listed

What program did you use to test for the core name, such as C5P vs. C5XL?
Alternately, if you first determined the CPUID of each chip and then looked up in a table which CPUID corresponded to what core name, what table did you use? |
