AMD uses PR ratings like the 3200+ which goes at 2000Mhz (not real as AMD say).
Also AMD has in most cases problems with motherboards (VIA chipset, SIS chipset,...) thing that very rarely occurs on Intel motherboards (with Intel chipset).
And if AMD is more cheap, is by less quality.
