That generation of AMD processors are poor performers. I would recommend an Intel i5-2500K or (more up to date) an i5-3570K for gaming as they will give better performance. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Which makes them difficult to distinguish from most generations of AMD processors |

I disagree, AMD have made some very good processors over the years. In fact, the first widely accepted 64-bit codeset for x86 platforms was that developed by AMD.
Who has the best processor depends on what you need it for. AMD's APUs (Llano, Trinity) may not have the CPU power of Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge, but by golly they have more power in the iGPU.
I have both AMD (Llano A8-3870K) and Intel (2700K and 3930K) systems running at the moment, with each tailored to what it does _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
