I just got an old Russiancomputer, BYTE... i cannot find any info about it... just 2-3 pics in the whole internet .. it's like a ghost
all that i know is that has an German Z80 clone CPU (UB880D) ..

I found this on the Net
(Byte)
According to Roelof Koning the Byte was an very interesting russian Sinclair clone. Apart from the grey version there were version with red and pink keys as well as a version with "real" a keyboard.
I take it from this that this would be the version with the real keyboard

thanx.. i found that .. it is written there :

This is one of the Russian Sinclair ZX Spectrum clones. This model was produced in republic of Moldova at the \
SCHETMASH factory. As far as I know there were several versions of this computer.

And "byte" in cedrik photo made in Moldova.
I had two this computers but now have only first Belarussian "byte"
second "red" is very bad and i sold him ))) |

Or this "byte" made in Russia i dont remember but his quality so low and bad (((
Belarussian (white) "byte" is much-much better and keyboard very good.
For price i dont know, 10 us dollars maximum)))

This 48K clone ("programmable add-on unit for TV set") made on factory "Dnestr" (this is name of river) based in city Bendery in Moldova (exUSSR).
Main components:
UB880A - Z80 clone from DDR
ULA T34VG1 (also known as KR1515XM1-216)
ROM KR1013RE1-020 (mask ROM fw 020) - contain image as in Didaktik Scalica clone (from Scalica city in Slovakia).
ULA and ROM made by Angstrem factory (well-known vendor of ICs in soviet time; Zelenograd city near Moscow). |
