Hello,
here is a picture of two USSR-made electrostatic storage tubes, like the more famous RCA Radechon (6499), LN-8 (rear) and LN-5. These tubes have been used for years in ground MTI (Moving Target Indication) radar systems owned by several countries of the former Eastern Block. They are in fact a sort of CRT-based memory for both analog and digital signals. The capacity was no more than 1/1,5 kbit.
Added a dedicated page to my website: http://ummr.altervista.org/storage_tubes.htm.

Here You see the LN-8 and the LN-5. There are many models of this USSR-made family: LN-6, LN-12, LN-14... This site sells online many soviet tubes, including LN storage tubes: http://www.askjanfirst.com/eindex.htm; I remember a LN-14 up for auction or buy it now on Ebay.

Hi,
the link looks more like a conventional oscilloscope CRT (see the electron gun structure).

The Russian *LN* type CRTs are all storage tubes.
There are types with screen for viewing (e.g. for analog storage scopes) like in the Ukrainian auction and types for electronic readout like shown in the pictures above (mostly used in radar equipment to "substract" the static elements from a scan.
