Someone here bought this lot of 10 white chips on Ebay?
please PM me, I have an interested trade to propose for one of these chips, a TMX99000AJDL (never seen before, the father of 99105, 99110 and 99120)for a TMX99105JDL |

The TMX99105JDLs are very nice
but the one that got my attention is left side.. 2nd from top INS8080AD
and Mostek 3850? above it _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Dear isa-d,
I also have a TMP99000AJDL, though with a faded marking.
You say the TMX99000AJDL is a father of TMS99105 and TMS99110. Did you find any information on the chip?
I want to know whether the pinout and the bus timing of my TMP99000AJDL are identical to those of TMS99105.
Thanks, |

Nice chip!
very strange my pre-production TMX99000 it's in gray ceramic and your production TMP99000 it's in white ceramic ...
I don't have datasheet about it and it's unknown also on CPU-World database, but the part number speaking for it, TMP99105 datasheet refer to a "Texas Instrument 99000 family of microprocessors" and unfortunately it's the only thing I know. |

Thank you for the information.
It seems very difficult to find information on TMP/TMX99000AJDL.
By the way, there are also chips named TMP99000BJDL and TMS99000CJDL.
I suppose that the TMP/TMX99000AJDL chip had a big bug and was improved to TMP99000BJDL and TMS99000CJDL, but the bug was not fixed completely and finally a new chip, TMS99105, was designed.
But there is no means to confirm my supposition.
Thanks, |

Its difficult because the TMS99000 never was meant to exist. (except as ES)
The TMS99105 and the TMS99110 were the 2 devices of the 99000 family (according to TI in 1982)
I would guess the 99000 was only labeled as such for internal testing of the core of the processor, the 110 has RAM and ROM macrostore (ROM dedicated for FPU instructions) 105 only has RAM Macrostore.
So 99000 marked were probably testing the core and perhaps the ROM FPU macros _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
