Is it possible to overclock a Cyrix MediaGX:?:
I've got a Cyrix GXm at 266Mhz, and my motherboard let's me change the speed up to 300Mhz with jumpers (has the Cyrix Cx5530 northbridge), so is worth doing it??.
Another question, this CPU reports that has no L2 cache, so how can i upgrade the L2 cache?
(the motherbard seems to have no L2 chache expansion)

P.D.: Sorry of my bad english Embarassed

Yes you can over clock a MediaGX (I have done so)

There are 2 types of MediaGX http://www.cpushack.net/MediaGX.html

One with 2 clock mode pins and one with 3.

oh and there is no L2 cache pon a MediaGX
an interesting note on the MediaGX cachin
It could set 2 or 3 KBytes of L1 cache aside from general usage. Typical implementations used that area for the graphics driver core and a couple of blit buffers.

Thank's for the information, i'll try to put my Cyrix Gxm at 333 (because at 266Mhz is as fast as a Pentium 166) icon_dance . Another question, does anybody have drivers for windows 2000 or windows xp (for Xpress audio and VSA integrated video card, and a unknown PCI bridge)? Think
