whta's the difference between EDO ram and BEDO ram (not technical, but optical) .. i want to know how can i identify a BEDO RAM... thank you

I don't think it "looks" any different. Short of being able to remember part numbers of the chips, i'm not sure how you'd be able to spot it in a pile of memory.

someone told me that he have ram sticks for sale .. and have both EDO and BEDO ... EDO i have a lot but i need BEDO .. and i want to know how to sort them: this is EDO this is BEDO ....and to check if BEDO its BEDO and not ordinary EDO ..

I don't recall BEDO ever being widely used at all. I'd be surprised to see someone with more than a small handful of it. SDRAM pretty much killed BEDO before it even got to market.

i know that they are very rare.. that's why i was surprised when he told me he has BEDO ram... would be the first time when i see one...

I'd Google chip part numbers and see for sure, and take whatever he has if the price is reasonable.

There is no optical difference between EDO and BEDO. The modules are even interchangeable - EDO RAM will work in a BEDO motherboard and vice versa.

The BEDO modules are extremely hard to find.

BEDO Modules are "buffered" EDO Modules !
Sometimes the chipset drive a limited number of ram chips, then they use BEDO modules.

No, BEDO were Burst EDO. They could process 4 memory addresses per burst, allowing for up to 5-1-1-1.
