Can you tell me if this latop has a smoldered CPU or if it is removable. Also can I upgrade it to an a8. If so can you tell me which one is compatible. Acer AS5560G-7809

The only ones that smolder were the Pentium 4's. As far as soldered, I don't believe those are. As far as upgrades, someone else might confirm, but an A8-3550MX should work, assuming the 10w higher TDP isn't an issue, which for most laptops it isn't, and the laptop motherboard likes it. A lot of laptops use a reference board and cooling solution, and the manufacturers drop in different CPU's and sell them as different models. But it's a socket FS1 chip, and should drop in. The only catch might be the BIOS supporting it. A safer bet would probably be an A8-3520M. Might not be as much of a performance upgrade, but would be a safer bet. CPU performance might be a little better, but the integrated graphics core is a lot faster on the A8's.
