My condolences to Tim's Family.

He had been fighting a particularly bad brain cancer for the past year.

I read through some of Tim's old posts this morning and saw that he was struck with something about a year ago and reading between the lines wondered if it was a Brain Tumour or something like that and you have just confirmed my thoughts.

A real pity as he was a great contributor to the forum over the years.

As one who lives closest to Tim, I met with him several times since 2009 at his summer cottage to see his latest finds and to do some trading.
I didn't see him again since his cancer was diagnosed, but had been in contact with him over the past year. He endured numerous chemotherapy and radiation treatments since last September and never hinted that there wasn't hope.
Stu gave me Tim's home phone number and asked me to try and reach him on Wednesday. I called his home and surprisingly his wife answered. I introduced myself and asked about Tim.

She gave me the sad news that he wasn't expected to live for more than a week. I didn't know he had died (who found this out?) until I logged in to this thread today-so sad.

I told her that Tim had many friends in our group that wished him the best and she appreciated that. I didn't get a chance to give her the CPU-World address, but I'll try and reach her again and give her a link to this thread, so keep the messages coming.

I'll pass along any further news from the family as I hear it.
RIP Sad

I do not know how others in this forum feel but I have had some contact with johnorun about the possibility of Members of the this forum donating towards a wreath for Tim's Funeral or a Floral Tribute to be sent to his Wife and Family.

Johnorun has indicated that he would be prepared to organize this and I am happy to donate $10 towards it.

He would hint at a serious illness in some of the PMs, but was always a nice fellow collector.

John: In case you happen to talk to his family again: He will be missed very much!
