look how much this Tualatin is flying for:

Incidentally, I also saw a K6-3-550 go for $130 on Ebay a few weeks ago. Shows post 1990 chips can still be considered collectable Smile

Nay, this is not collectable, it is intended for upgrading a PIII box.
Besides, did you see how nicely it outperforms all those P4's ? Very Happy

Don't agree.

I my opinion, that chip is collectable. It's very har to get a Tualatin 1.4Ghz! First one I have seen on Ebay for a long time.

Just because it's only for upgrading such a recent chip as a P3 doesn't mean it's not collectable.

You should try searching on the U.S Ebay. I think I've seen about a dozen 1.4GHz tualatins in the process of looking for something else!

Then there is good money to be made in the UK... Smile

I am in the market for a 1.4Ghz Tualatin.. solely for my collection... Hence - it's collectable

The buyer is not a collector. If you're looking to previous things he bought, you will see that he will certainly build a PC with the Tualatin...

I don't think that the Tualatin 1,4GHz will cost more than 100$ in 5-6 years, even if it is rare.
For a collector, it is better to wait to buy this kind of cpu.
