I don't know if it's going to be useful for anybody, but it'll be useful for me for sure:
http://www.cpu-world.com/cgi-bin/members/check-sspecs.pl
You enter any text and this page searches this text for any string that looks like an S-spec number. If this S-spec exists in CPU-World database, it is replaced with a link to S-Spec page. All unknown S-specs are shown on red background.
How to use it:
Say, you found a page full of S-spec codes and you want to get a list of links to CPU-World pages for these S-specs. Select all text on the page (Control-A in Windows) and copy it (Control-C), paste it into text area on the lookup page and click the "Check" button. You may also copy and paste HTML source page - all HTML tags are automatically stripped by the tool.
The page could be also useful for people who sells a bunch of Intel chips on eBay. Just write a list of S-specs, click the "Check" button, and it will return a list of links for your S-spec codes.
Because the tool marks all unknown S-Spec codes it may also be used to look for new S-spec codes.

I just noticed the tool doesn't recognize Qxxxx codes (for example Q0123). I'll fix it tonight.
Edit - The tool is fixed now.

not sure if you have an ignore list in your script
but these would be good to add for the sSpecs
QUOT
QUAD
QUICK
SCRAP
SLOT1
SUPPO
also some part numbers end up with this showing up  ; << no space between 3 & ;
if i type that.. the text disappears
often comes up and splits the part number like so (without space between 3 and ; )

I changed the script, it now ignores those few common Qxxxx/Sxxxx words, and it strips  ;
