NZ and the UK are among the worst countries for shipping costs on heavier items.

Yes unfortunately debs is correct.
New Zealand Post do not offer an International Air Mail with tracking.
The only option I have with tracking is International Economy Courier and even that option is only available to certain countries.
If International Economy Courier is not available to a country then I have to use Express International Courier which costs even more.
I cannot even send to an individual in Russia by courier unless they have a registered business.
It is a real pain to be quite frank but nothing I can do about it.
They do offer a registered mail option but only for paper material in envelopes. and that is only trackable until it leaves New Zealand.
It is one of the negatives of living in Godzone.

I should also add that it does not help that eBay takes 7% of the Shipping Cost and PayPal a bit more so I make no apologies for adding enough on to recover those costs.
