Does anyone here have any pictures of a R8086 either of thier own or someone elses, I have tried googling it and cant come up with any. It looks like a pretty unique package for a 8086 chip. Thanks in advance. Very Happy

A chip named MR8086, which is for the military temperature range, exists.
It should look like Harris's MR80C86 or IR80C86.
I do not think that R8086 exists.

Oh yea it exists, ill scan it and post some better pics in a couple of days. But heres the only pic I have seen of one so far.
Its a nice salesmen set from an old retired Intel salesman. All 4 top chips are ESs too along with some very nice mil spec chips.

And Happy Birthday Smithy icon_drunk

Very nice finding!
I was surprised to know that R8086 exists. Surely it is much more uncommon than MR8086.
But is there also a production version?

Darn it - I saw it one minute, and then it was gone a little while later. At least it found a good home!

Brilliant!
Is there any reason for 44 connectors? Or are the four extras unused?
... just remember the 42 pin amd2901 or the russian flat 8080 clone which had also two extra pins.

44 pins was a standard package, and 40 (for CLCC) wasnt.

Extra contacts provided a better mechanical contact as well.

You also see this in say a Motorola 68000, 64PDIP, vs 68PLCC
