Did you know, that if you uncased a SLOT A Athlon and turned it round, it would fire up in a SLOT 1 Pentium board and post the bios.

Actually, thinking about it, you don't even need to uncase it. But it won't fit if the CPU brackets are in place.

Incidentally, it doesn't work the other way round.

Please post a video of you attempting this.

They're not eletrically compatible, just physically. If you actually did this I'm pretty sure you'd kill both your board and the cpu, but I'm not going to blow my stuff up trying it.

you're right, you'd fry the mainboard using an Intel chip in an AMD board but not the other way round. You'd at least see a post.
