I was wondering if people can post some info of lot codes on their pre 1977 Intel chips
from the info I eventually want to build a timeline of Intel lot numbers

Info I am particularly chasing is lot codes starting with a alpha (eg H1563, K6485 or N5431)

Can you list the following info.. no pics needed
Type >> C4008, D4004, C1702...
colour >> grey trace, white, purple, brown, plastic..
Lot no >> B3464, F6646....
sSpec if present >> S996, S1210...
date on base if present >> 7451, 7506..
plant on if present >> Malaysia, USA, Mexico....

The other variation of top marking maybe just
date/sSpec >> 7413S775

from info I have collected so far it was interesting to note that
the C8080B was produced commercially before the C8080
and that the 8080A was never used as an official Intel part number

below is an example of a Intel lot number >> N4260 which should have a date code around 7503

yes.. the lot number is global and independent of which plant they were made in

I suppose each day it was someone's job to phone Intel head office and find out what the lot number they were to use..
but in that day.. was probably by Telex Laughing

If you come across any chips with a lot number with a R or T in it... i would also be interested
It appears these letters were used for chips that were remarked or retested by Intel, so dont follow the same timeline

to make it a bit easier chasing earliest (lowest lot number) in each part
also high numbers in Lot.. for example highest in Lot Bxxxx so prefer B9756 to B5689
