is it better to collect with heat sinks? How about cooling fans? If a cpu's socket is accesible is it good to have it removed from the mobo? How about processors that are soldered to the mobo, should they be removed or is that taboo? Thanks for everything.

heatsinks are not worth collecting usually (unless you keep a few retail ones)

Perfectly fine to desolder things, practice on non-collectible chips and you will become very good at it

Some people collect sockets too, just one of each type would be fine I would think (socket 7, Socket 8, etc)
