see pic.
When I do a search on this CPU ( TMX390Z51GF ) as in the picture, I find that it is a 50Mhz CPU.
So why, does it say 60Mhz on this 'planar' ? |

| Maybe this PCB is standard, have been designed for 50MHz cpus at the beginning but manufacturer could solder either a 50MHz or above... |

I actually own his chip now, and it is in my posession. I am unsure whether to remove the CPU's from the board as it may be of some 'significance' to th CPU.
Please will someone with some Sun history knowledge advise. |

I prefer mudules like this complete.
So the "historic environment" is intact. |

of course you're right.
That was no info as this is no info again.
If you prefer knowledge desolder it, remove the lid and see if you have more knowledge then.
You seem to be very impatient (I hope this is the right word for the contrary of patience;-) or what is the reason that you want fast answers by force?
The sun guys I asked don't have detailed information.
Sun seems to be a company with often changing employees. Hardware older than fife years is mostly unknown to todays people.
Anyway, good luck, I shut up now (if I don't come back with perfect information). |

Wepawet. I was not moaning! And I am impatient (but beware that term used in the wrong manner can be considered rude)

Hi Sammyc,
no problem, I'm fine and I hope you too:-)
As I am not a native english speaker but willing to learn:
Explain the wrong manner in which "impatient" is rude |

Just because I'm English, doesn't mean I'm an expert at the language
It wouldn't be considered rude like a swear word, just not t nicest term that could be used in this situation.. I'd prefer the term as 'keen' or 'eager'
