Since it's the second time a legitimate user was suspended by our anti-spam script, and the main cause of this is 3-link limit for new users, I changed the script to allow 5 links per post.

Heh, good question!
I became "collector" by accident in 2003 while i was working at a smaller service provider. We were inspecting our new datacenter in Hamburg/Germany and it happened that we got access to a closed neighbour datacenter in the same location.
This neighbour datacenter has officially been cleared but was obviously not completely empty. A very nice facility manager then granted us access under some restrictions to take a look after things we might find useful before final clear-out.
My boss was very happy with my findings of some 10-20 very high value switches in the raised floor (large area!) and left me the repair corner for personal usage. No 10 minutes later i was owner of 150+ vintage chips!
So it was pure luck, not a glamorous collectors conquest! |
