How old is your computer?
Do you have a dusty environment at home? Pets?
What is the game you play? Do your computer specs meet minimum requirements?
Did it work flawlessly before?
At this point you should try to learn how to do things on your computer otherwise you'll be feeling helpless for any little bruise... this is a juicy occasion to level up |

| Did this issue start suddenly or gradually over time? Did you make ANY software or hardware changes just before the start of this issue? If you completely shut down your PC then restart and go to the game does the same thing happen or is it only after your PC resumes from sleep state? |

| You might try reverting any drivers that you updated at the start of the issue. |

click on my computer
left click on properties
left click on hardware
left click on device manager
locate the video card from the list and right click on it
left click properties
left click driver
and then rollback the driver.
click apply
click ok
and then restart your computer. |

| If that doesn't work you can probably find the older driver on your video cards manufactures website. |

intel always has problems with heat. there is actually a program designed to slow your processor down so it doesn't over heat. i use it all the time with my i7.
this program and cleaning the computer are your best solutions. ALSO since it's a laptop not built by your own hands. i would recommend having some one with the proper knowledge of the inside of a laptop take it apart, clean it, and replace the crap thermal paste from the manufacture to some "artic silver" it's about 11 dollars around here and dropped my tempatures 10- 15c from 80c to 65-70c in games. my current temps are 42-43c but i have cleaned my heatsink and added the artic silver. i also dont use my turbo most of the time.
along with these added procedures i have also installed throttle stop. this modulates your processor so it doesn't burn its self up. the stutter in the games you are experiencing is by the processor modulating it's self which by doing this drops its performance to an extremely low level so it can cool down. what you have to do is lower the performance on your own so it never gets to this point. lower the performance and added better thermal paste with a good cleaning will have you a happy camper before the day is out.
with these things added for cooling i have got to the point that my fan can actually turn off from time to time because it doesn't require it to stay cool. (this happens when my tempatures drop to 40c or less)
didn't realize this had been fixed but the information is still good.
i'm glad your computer is working better with the cleaning. for further cooling you can try the rest thats in this post. |
