Boxed Celeron 266 Covington SL2YN
Bids: 1 Price: $5 End: 2013-02-12 01:00 GMT
Covington is the first Celeron (15-Apr-1998), and has 0 L2 cache, which makes it rather slow. It had a short sale time before it was succeeded by Mendocino Celeron (24-Aug-1998), and then discontinued. This is the first stepping (A0) of Covington.
This is a boxed processor, but the box is open and a little worn around the edges, so it's not perfect. However, the box contains the CPU with retail Heatsink/fan in plastic "clamshell", and install notes with case sticker. From the lack of dust, the CPU appears unused, except that I removed it to take photos and quickly test that it works. Photos of this CPU here: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron/Intel-Celeron%20266%20-%20BX80523R266000.html
There are few sales of boxed Covington Celeron recently, so I decided to try auction by PM. Any bids received will be noted in this thread, along with current auction price. The pricing will go incremental like eBay, so the final sale price will be the second highest bid + $1; i.e., if top two bids are $5 and $10, then the final price is $6, not $10. I will hold bidding open longer if there are bids placed near the end of the bidding time, to discourage sniping. OK, that's my "sales pitch" - thanks for reading. |
