Ha-ha, SDLC. That's a term that I hadn't thought of in a long time!
Back in the day when I sold IBM 3270 terminals and 3274 terminal
controllers to mainframe users, they had to order remote controllers for
terminals that communicated via SNA/SDLC or BSC. Smile

Haha yup, SNA was one of the primary users of SDLC as a protocol. Tis where alot of RUPI-44 chips ended up, no doubt with obscure IBM part numbers on them

last time i heard SDLC or HDLC was whabn I was at college in 1983..... golden memories Smile

Cisco actually still uses a form of HDLC, or did so recently
