Hi everyone.

From a long time I consider to upgrade my "Lenovo S12 ideaPad" CPU. But I need some more advanced opinion about it.
So the laptop has that little tiny miserable Atom N270 as a CPU and Nvidia ION graphics (which I find pretty satisfy) . But the CPU its not strong enough to play HD, on 720p needs a liiiiitle bit more Very Happy
I am using the laptop for traveling and play movies trough the HDMI.
I think that my problems come from the CPU and I consider upgrading it with Atom 330

So I compare them with that wonderful utility that you have here, and there is some facts about the Watt power that bothers me, what do you think about the upgrade ? Does it worthy ? Is it possible to burn-off ? And anything else you can advice me.. I would be grateful to learn some new stuff about it.

Hello,
this would be a nice upgrade but you have no socket on your motherboard to change CPU.
This ATOM N270 comes BGA only.

Sure you can change the chip but you need special tools/machinery.

I did overclock and test it out on the TV, I still cant watch 1080p but 720p are no problems(now) Very Happy So it did the job and I am satisfy with it! I think the video card make the problem for 1080p now, cuz the CPU does not get load more then 60% when I burn it on 2ghz, am I right ?

For some reason I can not add the attachment... so there it is the screenshot
