|
|
Hello everyone,
Came here after lot of researches without results. I have a Packard Bell SW35 with a NEC Versa Premium motherboard and a Celeron M 410 CPU.
I want to upgrade it a bit and change the CPU, so I bought a Core Duo T5600 but all I had was a black screen after power button was on.
I'll need to know which CPU can this mobo support so I could make the upgrade.
Thanks again |

the best i can gather on that motherboard (which is a lot of nothing) is the best processor i could safely recommend would be the Celeron m 450 because it is in the same family. i would not try to work outside of that family with out some support documentation which is non-existent even in other languages.
from what i see, that is a fairly old laptop and support from the manufacture has completely disappeared.
i can all but promise that this laptop will NOT take ANY dual core processors.
i hope this sheds some light on your problem. sorry for the bad news.. it's the only news i could find. |

That's a little (of a lot , I ordered a T1500 core solo, I'm waiting for it. Hope that the mobo will support it. |

One thing I noticed is that your Celeron 410 has 533 MHz FSB, while the T5600 and T1500 have 667 MHz FSB. I suspect that 533 MHz FSB is the maximum for your board. Try to upgrade to T1350, or T2250/T2350/T2450, it may work.
