| Do you think its a sure thing that Asus will release a bios update to support the ES2 Ivy Bridges in the Z9PE D8 WS? |

I think it's unlikely that they will add ES support for a past generation product _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Im thinking along the lines of what asus did with a loooong line of amd cpus.
They added bios support for the then new fx chips because they were hardware compatible. I know because i bought a cheapo mobo updated the bios and had a very cheap yet very capable rendering system.
These are hardware compatible LGA2011, the question is why wouldnt asus add support for them? Their dual cpu board cant be selling all that well. It barely has a place!
Am i a dreamer? |

I'd like to see some tests. It's more likely that it'll boot with one of the overclockers boards (like Gigabyte) - they are more flexible but only single-socket.
I'll try to ask for a beta-BIOS for your boards.
And I'd better blur the serial numbers on these CPUs... |

Yes. When I said that I didn't realise you were talking about Ivy Bridge E (ie socket 2011). My comment was regarding IB as opposed to IB-E. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
