Well your GD16555B Billy is a 10Gbit/s Transmitter MUX with Re-timing

a 2.5 Gbit/s Multiplexer with Laser Driver

Giga was a Danish company
GIGA was formed in 1988 based on a design group under NKT. The design group was specialised
in high speed IC designs targeting only the market for ASICs.
