Evil or Very Mad
A thin paper envelope arrived. It is a letter envelope. It is for posting a letter. It is not for sending an electronic device. Electronic devices with pins require foam padding.

If I punch this wall, then my hand should have foam padding.

I will not punch this wall.

I feel for ya ...

Note: in my first-hand experience, pins on DIP packages are even longer and more fragile, and can take on a shape similar to a staple after being run through a stapler Sad

Oh, I forgot to mention... the part number of this CPU does not agree with the sales listing.

I hope this eBayer does not try to sell iPods this way.

Nekkid and jangly is no way to go through the mail, son.

Here is my story. I recently bought a lot of chips on eBay, described as this:

Quote:
Some of the ones with pins may need to be straightned out, but they are not that bad. None are smashed beyond repair. I found that a razor blade works great and fast. Also, not all of them need this, only a few

I attached a picture of what I received. These were not unpacked, this is exactly how I received them! Well, maybe the box had a couple of newspaper sheets on the top. A bunch of chips had their dies scratched and chipped, some LGA processors had capacitors broken, and a few processors had severely bent pins, that are likely to break if I try to repair them. Needless to say that the seller got his well deserved negative feedback.
