Hi, i just bought an Asus K53Z series notebook and i need your help and knownledge to exchange my cpu.

The original one is an AMD A4-3300M APU with Radeon™ HD 6480G

http://products.amd.com/en-us/NotebookAPUDetail.aspx?id=6

The new one is an AMD A8-3530MX APU with Radeon™ HD 6620G

http://products.amd.com/en-us/NotebookAPUDetail.aspx?id=12

They both have FS1 uPGA socket

The Notebook fusion controller hub is the same.

Yesterday, i removed all screw under the notebook, under the battery and under the hard disk cap.

The bottom of the notebook was in the good way to leave but the part under the screen was fix.

Any clue ??

thanks in advance

If the hinges go through to the chassis, you may need to pop the screen hinge covers off (if applicable) and remove the screen from the base. A lot of computers will require this step to remove the top cover from the lower chassis.

There are two screws under the keyboard that need to be removed -- comes right apart after that. The A8 upgrade is totally worth it, made a big difference.

I tried to install the A8 into my K53Z and it wouldn't even boot. I have applied the latest BIOS update to it as well.
