Hi
I am currently considering to buy one pair of canton speakers from germany.

Any expert in hifi to give me some suggestions?

I find some canton speakers made at 1970's by west germany but expensive here in china. I think the price of it in german is cheaper even considering the shipping fee.

thx Very Happy

I like vintage electronic but technology goes forward and I'm supporter of new tech. I would like to check vintage speakers but only for realy low price or better - borrow from a friend. Buying at so far distance without warranty - yes you can get not original set or not so clear sound from them - is very risky and costly.

I have bought chinese cinema set of 5.0 speakers - Taga Harmony. Currently they are waiting at new house packed in cartoon but from reviews there are very good in price up to 250 EUR.

well.... Sound is very special thing!
im not understand if u like this old speakers for use or for display /décor purpose.
Old is gold ..... people say but in speaker systems im like to have the alllmost perfection of sound music reproduce.
in other hand some old amplifier circuit solutions/made of Tube Amps giving special and nice sound than digital or Amps or classic Mosfet Amps.
General if u like to listen from this source try something new/modern iin other case buy it if u like to give a vintage feeling in your room.

thanks for feedback:)

Personally I think some vintage audio staff are unmatched by modern staffs. Modern society pursue more for moeny not the quality.

I was impressed by the wonderful frequency divider at first sight!
This is the most beautiful divider I ever seen.

I almost can not believe it was made at 1970's era. like an art Laughing

BTW I am also seeking for a vintage philips CD Player Wink

Again, modern philips cd players are somewhat junky. Only the first era 1980,1990 are hi-end.

I agree but in most cases quality is measured by price.
You can use PC from late 80s because it was immortal and made from quality materials but it have a sense now ?

Vintage only for good looking or vintage collection - exposition.

I beilieve the klipsch is a modern one.
