Looks like it came from an IBM PS/2 modem 80 probably
an 8580-121 or A21?

Yes, model 80 indeed with a 386 motherboard. I used to have one with a 20MHz 386DX.

I still have a Model 80 sitting in my garage along with the following:
2 x Model 30
Model 30 286
Model 50
Model 50Z
Model 60
Model 70
Model 56SL2
Model 90
and a couple of others I cannot remember the model numbers of at the moment.
When I last checked them about 10 or so years ago they were all running nicely

I suspect that the batteries will have run flat by now so they will most likely all need new batteries and configuration files run on them again when I run them up again sometime.
