The CPU-World website and the forum will soon move to a new server. Our hosting company already started migration to the new server, and I hope the move will be finished by the end of this week. There will be some downtime just before we switch from the old to new server, but in the end the site and the forum should run faster. I will post later when to expect the downtime.

The site will be migrated to the new server on Friday February 28 at 11PM EST. During that time the Apache server and the database will be shut down for 30 minutes or more. Nothing should be lost during the move, but I would advise against writing PMs and posting comments for an hour before and after the move.

Sorry, the move took a bit longer than expected.
The server does feel faster. And it seems no data has been lost during the move (knocking on the wood)

Woooow, congrats, the new servers are FLYIN'
BTW, would you mind maybe adding Pentium 4/D or NetBurst (also like K7 to the vintage tab - even if collectors wouldn't consider P4 as vintage at all) since it can't be accessed anywhere from the start page? This would make some random browsing by me a bit more convenient
Thank you very much _________________ Check out my museum project with more than 1500 CPU pics: http://www.cpumuseum.jimdo.com/ |

If you notice any unusual errors when browsing the site or the forum please post here.

I will add Pentium 4. I don't want to add many links as the front page already has too many of them

It was fast, but even faster now!
Gennadiy, is it possible to increase PM folders size?
I know about Savebox, but it has similar limit and
it's not very convenient to save both in- and out-comed PMs in one folder.
Just don't want to delete them, it's a history.
Thank you! |

All weekend I've been wondering why there were no posts and no visitors. Seems I just had to restart my browser to refresh, refreshing the page didn't work! One post from mid-evening Friday and one from today had to be reposted _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I sent 3 messages early today that are still in the "Outbox"
Do I need to resend these because of the server upgrade? _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

It does send PMs, but those are sent from non-existing user, and your ISP may reject those as spam. I'll see if I can fix this.

I increased the size of Inbox folder from 1000 to 2000 posts.

I guess your computer cached CPU-World's old IP address, and you were browsing old server, when everybody else were already on the new one.

If they are in the outbox then the recipients can see them. So, no, you don't need to resend them. The recipients may not get PM notifications that they have a new message, though.

Forum's anti-spam filter may block all forum members instead of a spammer. I'm working on it right now, and I will either fix it tonight, or temporarily change the filter not to permanently block the spammers.
