the tables are confusing to me... and what is a Thoroughbred if not a Barten with half the cache? A Thorton ? So what's the difference between a Thorton and a Thoroughbred?

AXDA2800DKV3D has Thoroughbred core. All processors with Barton core have 512 KB cache. Thorton is a Barton with half of cache disabled, which makes it basically the same as Thoroughbred. It differs from Thoroughbred, though, because it has larger die size - the same die size as Barton.
