|
|
Hey guys
My motherboard underclocks my processor to 1.6 GHz so i tried overclocking it to its default speed.
Here is the problem:in BIOS-Voltage/Frequency Control i set CPU Host Clock Control[Enabled] and the default clock speed is 200 MHz so i set it to 300 and multiplier is set to 2.00 (unchangeable) and i save and exit BIOS.
The PC reboots but it still displays 1.6 GHz(200x8).I entered the BIOS and v/freq control and i found CPU Host Clock Control disabled itself but when i left in enabled with 200MHz it stayed enabled.
Can my MOBO not take more than 200 MHz?
EIST is off.
Please help me |

It display stock values because you have OC (overclocked) to much. Try 220 then 240 .. 250
Tell me what motherboard model you have.
PS. Today I finished assembling PC on E4500 2,2GHz and with poor VIA chipset I got stable 3 GHz. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

It is.
Changing FSB from 200 to 300 MHz is 50% OC ! Without some expert changes and good mobo it is impossible to reach it.
BTW. Your board isn't overclocker's dream so try with step by step method like from my first post. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
