Kinda suspicious to me, a Q0720 is from Week 11 to 14 of 1995, i don't have my Q0720 sitting in front of me, so i forget what week mine is from, but that's what the PPro timeline indicates. Pretty sure a Q0706 would be earlier in 1995 than that. I think Q0815 is from about the same timeframe with regard to marking date
That's work week 34 of 1995, not 2005 btw
I'd say if the bondwires weren't trashed try booting it up and see what stepping it is.. Unfortunately that's not an option with this chip unless you have a wire bonder and the expertise to take the busted bondwires off..
I guess you could also measure the sizes of the CPU and cache dice and see if Neon_WA has a database of PPro CPU die sizes |

Seems to have an extra "0" in the Sspec
Intel lists a Q076 but not a Q0706 _________________ The Older they are the Better they are.

starting with Chipset's Q0706
The markings look all good.. for the picture quality on hand
my issue is ALL Pro qSpecs for this period were 512K Pros
and I dont see Intel bothering with a 150MHz at this late date
Chipset lists that the die cap has been desoldered so there is no die codes to help out
As for your Q0706 there is one other N plant around Smithy's 150MHz Q0813
http://www.smithschips.com.au/Images/PentiumPro/PProQ0813-LG.jpg
This also doesn't have a Q in the FPO (All other non remarked qSpecs include a Q in the FPO)
but has a 94 95 copyright
The engravings on the bottom edge look all ok
The top engravings, I am not so sure on (a better pic of them my help)
The only known Pro qSpec with a 1994 copyright are Q0720 Q0721 Q0754 Q0755 Q0765 Q0766
but there are a few unmarked Pros with 1994 copyright (the copyright is found on the die cap)
E111-0073 1534814JAA 25290720AI Malay 540 ES
E119-0003 15348150AA 25273920AE Malay 541 ES
E127-0027 15348150AH 25273920AM Malay 543 ES
E137-0034 15348150AT 25301710AL Malay 546 ES
Edit >> looking at it again..realised the copyright is 1994 .. not 94 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Thats better.. top markings look genuine now
Just wondering if Intel used one of the blank Pros and were just testing the laser marking process _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| Yeah the 1994 copyright date was throwing me off too. Well we have a laser marker at work, and sometimes the best way to "tune it in" is to blast something.. :p |
