Hey guys,
Wondering if its possible to upgrade this cpu i3-2330M to a more powerfull modern cpu, or at least one that can handle more apps and such. The rig in question is a laptop with the following features:
Acer V3 771
i3-2330M - TDP 35W - Socket 988B rPGA 32 nm
MB: Type2 - Board Vendor Name 1; VA70_HC Sandy Bridge HM77
I got these from cpuz, and I've been reading through forums, some people seem to go with i7-3610QM, and says its OK, other with i7 - 2670, others just say it wont work at all.
So whats your take on this?
Can this laptop handle some more speed or I'm stuck with it?
Thanks in advance,
George |

Hello friend,
I posted a similar question here on the forum too. (Http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23479)
And also unable to answer.
So I decided to buy the i7 2630qm upgrade my notebook (currently i3 2310m). He has not arrived yet, but soon I will be with him and then tell you my experience. It might help you.
See you later.
Sorry my bad English. |
