Heres a couple of pictures showing my latest finds, Im really getting into CPU/other IC collecting.

The pictures show:

2 x Intel P8085AH
1 x SGS M088D1 (Crosspoint Switch Circuit - 256 Input and 256 Output Channel Matrix) had to google for that..
1 x V20 NEC 8086 clone
1 x AMD N80C286-12
1 x Cyrix Cx486 DX2 66

and 1 IDT winchip C6-200 on a Evergreen Mxpro substrate PCB.

ignore him. he's just jealous... thats why he sticks to just intel 486's.

Winchips are cool Smile I have all but the 180 I think, including a few evergreens.

I realised after spending too much money I needed to collect a subset instead of going for anything and everything.

Yeah its a bit daunting when you start collecting, theres sooooo much to collect.

And yes my pockets are already empty Confused

Spend money on the right stuff, and you can call it 'investing' - not 'collecting'.

That is how I have come to think og my collection... an investment Smile

It's so easy to just buy everything you can afford (and some things you can't!). That's why I concentrate on one area (ie 386 and compatibles, as per my sig), and have recently started collecting earlier x86 and other Intel chips, along with eproms (mostly because I have had a few older boards to strip down recently, with some reasonable eproms and other chips in sockets).
